I went to Puerto PenascoMexico (Rocky Point) for the first time in 20 years. The last time I visited I was just out of high school and drove down with some friends for Spring Break. This town has changed a whole lot. And not for the worse but for the better. All along Sandy Beach are beautiful high rise condos and beach front homes. I stayed in the newest building called Sonoran Sky and it was beautiful. The lobby of the Sky is gorgeous with tile flooring and large glass windows that look out to the ocean. They also have a gym that faces the pool area and the beach. I drove down in my own car and purchased Mexican Auto Insurancewhich was relatively cheap, only $45 for three nights. The parking lot at the Sonoran Sky is totally secure and I wasn’t worried in the least about leaving my car parked out there.

I ended up renting a 1 bedroom condo on the 5th floorof the Sky. It was a beautiful condo with travertine tile flooring, the kitchen has full size stainless steel appliances, solid granite counters and a breakfast bar. The best part of the condo was the huge glass sliding door that leads out to the furnished balcony which allowed for awesome views of the sandy beach and the ocean. All of the Sonoran Sky condos from the 1st floor all the way up to the 15th floor Penthouse suites offer ocean front views.  I took this picture showing two of the resort pools from my balcony.
